Leaving Lisbon and Early Geotraces Photos

Just beginning the Geotraces cruise here in the North Atlantic, from Lisbon to Woods Hole (arriving Dec 5). Had a few minutes so I wanted to send a few photos out. Australian dust turns Sydney skies red. The same day Phoebe and I go to the synchrotron (NSLS) to measure...Australian dust samples. WEIRD!

Hi Everyone,
Phoebe, Kanchan and I are leaving tonight for Cape Verde for a short (2 day) cruise from Sao Vincente. Including prep days before and after, however, I won't be back until March 14. Looking forward to seeing you all when I return!

A book chapter [not for the faint of heart] in Methods in Enzymology; Fluorescence Spectroscopy has been published on which I am an author! Now to move-on to peer reviewed journals...
In other news, check out the freakin' ginormous cruise I'm likely going to be on this summer (July 8-August 29!) on the German R/V Sonne.
